The ForM@Ter data hub (Solid Earth, www.poleterresolide.fr)

The objective of the Solid Earth Pole is to facilitate access to data and contribute to the creation of new products and services by adding value to available spatial and “in-situ” data. It is part of the national and European landscapes in close articulation with the infrastructures in place and under construction. To do this, the Solid Earth cluster’s mission is to federate existing centres at the service of the Solid Earth community. It is based on a portal giving access to spatial, in-situ and experimental data in the field. It aims to provide added value, particularly for data and services in fields where data centres do not exist or need to be developed and in the articulation with European and international systems.

The cluster, in synergy with the other structures in the field and within the “Earth System Data Cluster” research infrastructure under construction, will strengthen the Solid Earth community by giving it access to the data and products it needs for its research.
