From 11 to 15 September, the European Space Agency (ESA), in collaboration with the University of Leeds, is organising the 12th international workshop (congress) on advances in the science and applications of SAR interferometry* and Sentinel-1 InSAR.

The event featured papers and posters selected by the Scientific Committee, ESA-funded studies and progress reports on Sentinel-1 and other future ESA SAR missions. Finally, round tables were organised with questions prepared by the session chairs and ESA.

The conference was aimed at scientists, representatives of national, European and international space agencies, as well as students. Data Terra was present at the event through its Form@ter division, with a number of related presentations.

*Interferometry is a measurement process that uses the phenomenon of wave interference (generally light, radio or acoustic waves). Interferometric synthetic aperture radar, abbreviated InSAR (or obsolete IfSAR ), is a radar technique used in geodesy and remote sensing.
