A DISTRIBUTED INFRASTRUCTURE OF DATA AND SERVICES FOR THE OBSERVATION, MODELING AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE EARTH SYSTEM, BIODIVERSITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
The GAIA Data project is led by DataTerra , Climeri-France and PNDB and proposes to facilitate access to the multi-source and multi-domain data by developing products and services for all compartments of the Earth system and their interactions.
GAIA Data will considerably improve French scientific leadership and will integrate the various data management systems in a completely new way on a global scale.
This project will provide France with an unprecedented capacity which will thus consolidate its European and international positioning.
THREE RESEARCH E-INFRASTRUCTURES IN THE EARTH SYSTEMS AND ENVIRONMENT :
DATA TERRA organizes access and integrated processing of observation data, products and services covering the different compartments of the Earth system and their interactions
CLIMERI-France produces international numerical simulations for the World Climate Research Program and makes their results available to various users in France and abroad.
PNDB offers tools & services to support and facilitate the understanding, sharing and use of biodiversity data produced for and by research communities.
